More information on safer alternative to treating pain than NSAIDs

In my last blog, I discussed how alternatives are available to treating arthritis pain than NSAIDs which can have life threatening side effects.  I would like to continue that conversation today.

While the safer alternative herbs mentioned can be effective it is important that you discuss their usage with your primary doctor.  These herbs can interact with other medications you might be on.  For example, Willow Bark can increase the effects of the blood thinner, Coumadin.  I am not saying that if you are on Coumadin you cannot take Willow Bark, you just have to have the Coumadin dosage adjusted.  If you would like to know other herbs that interact with Coumadin, please go to our website at www.southingtonchiropractor.com.
